The team at Mosside provide some of the best experiences I have had with kennels. I am so confident that my dog is happy and contented in their care that I have regularly driven a significant distance in order to leave him in their hands rather than many other closer options.

As a pet owner it is important to know that your dog or cat is being well looked after when you are away. I have never had a moment’s doubt when Barney has been in the care of Mosside and I am confident that they get to know all dog’s quirks and needs as they have done with mine.

Brought my 11 month old puppy to Mosside and he honestly came home with his tail wagging and so happy Gary had made sure he had a good day and he felt comfortable and also tired him out! When visiting the kennels to have a look around beforehand we were very impressed at how everything was explained and how we was aware at the routine our puppy would have while staying there. Any questions we had Gary explained and we left knowing that Mosside was the place for us.

We dropped our fur baby yesterday and I was so happy to see that that he was remembered by name it felt more like we were returning friend than a client (also very sweet that when we were being checked in another dog came in who he knew by name as well).

When we were first looking for or somewhere to use as a cattery when I spoke to him on the phone, they're incredibly helpful. They invited us to come up to see the premises but told us not to tell them which session we will be coming up as they wanted to make sure that we knew that what they were doing at that time was what they do all the time. We were greeted and shown around which was incredibly good. We have left Paul (the cat) a number of times with them and he's always come back happy, loved and well fed.

When we left him for one of our longer trips and I'm missing him lots we emailed them and they email straight back to let us know how he was doing which again was very reassuring.

Maggie

We have been taking our Labrador Maggie to Mosside Kennels for about 2 years. We tried a few other places closer to home before she stayed at Mosside but she seems much happier and more settled there.

Maggie can be quite a nervous dog but she is always excited to see all the staff when we arrive and I feel reassured and comfortable leaving her with everyone there. They even know Maggie hates hard floors so they always pop rugs down ready for her in her kennel!

The kennels are always clean and the outdoor exercise areas are great.

I would definitely recommend the kennels and all the staff at Mosside.

My dog stays regularly at Mosside kennels, she always comes home happy. The facilities are amazing and the owners are extremely accommodating as Lillie has lots of medical issues and nothing is ever too much trouble for them. They deserve the 5 star rating and I could not recommend them enough. Thank you to all at Mosside.

We have regularly used Mosside for our dog over several years. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful, very friendly and most importantly you can clearly see that they love animals. The kennels are spotless and our dog is given every comfort and nothing is ever too much trouble. The dog is given regular walks and there are exercise pens for the dogs to safely run about in. The premises have been gradually improved since the new owners took over which shows their commitment to their business and to giving the animals in their care high quality accommodation. I have no hesitation in recommending the kennels. It is great that we never have to worry about leaving the dog as he is always so well looked after.

Incidentally our two cats have also been to the cattery at Mosside in the past and received the same excellent care.

Barney (miniture Schauzer)

Mosside Kennels is without doubt a welcoming friendly place for Barney our miniature Schnauzer.

The staff put you at ease straight away making you feel confident your dog will be well looked after. Nothing is too much trouble and any questions or worries answered promptly and professionally. Gary and Ruth have taken so much time and effort restoring Mosside Kennels and making it the place it is with nice big safe runs for the dog's to play in. The kennels are spacious with the comfort of indoor snug area and outdoor space too and the added bonus of heating if it gets too cold up there on the moors. Barney is always settled and calm when i pick him up which is also a good sign he has been well cared for during his time there. Thank you Mosside and your team for doing a great job.

Before using Mosside I tried 3 different nearby kennels and was upset every time I collected our loved border collie. I have been using Mosside now for 3 years and every time I feel he has been looked after. He has never come back with a cough or flees! Staff are very friendly and accommodating.

They care for horses as you see on arrival and you witness how clean and tidy all the stables and kennels are. It just feels right and we know he's in the best hands.

He also let's me know he doesn't seem to mind. Thankyou Gary, Ruth and all the staff.

Willow and Vinnie

I have been taking my dogs to Mosside for a number of years now, it is quite a way from my home and there are other kennels close by but I prefer to travel that bit further in the knowledge that my dogs are very well cared for. I am down to one dog now, however, up to last August I had another one who was epileptic and they always made sure that she had her medication on time and was given that little bit of extra attention.

Today I picked up my Vizsla after a three week stay, she has come home very happy (and sparkly after her bath - a brilliant service that is offered) and not distressed at all.

If you want a kennels that is literally home from home for your dog then look no further than Mosside, I promise you won't be disappointed!

I brought my cat Millie here for 2 weeks. They were fantastic with both myself and the cat. She came back well looked after and clearly loved her time here. Will definitely be booking for all future holidays!

I've been sending my dogs and cat to Mosside kennels for several years. It's more like a dog retreat than a kennel, the fact that my German shepherd gets excited when she realises where she's going is the only review I need. Fabulous kennels, I recommend them to all my friends and anyone who knows me knows I put my pet’s wellbeing first. Sometimes wish I could stay it's in a beautiful location.

Absolutely fantastic place had our dog in here on numerous occasions and he gets excited when he knows he’s going. Immaculate place with heated kennels and amazing staff who love and are passionate about their work. Would highly recommend these kennels.

The staff are fantastic and explain everything thoroughly. I was apprehensive as I had never used a cattery before but after a look round and a chat I was completely at ease. We have booked to use the cattery again. Thank you.
